Booking Terms & Conditions

Reservations

Please call the restaurant on 01268 755222 Tuesday to Sunday during opening hours to book a table. We recommend you make any reservations at least one week in advance for groups of 4 people or more. ( Weekends 2-6 weeks advance ) If the restaurant is fully booked we will add you to our waiting list and will call you if should we have any cancellations available.

The final number of guests must be confirmed at least 48 hours prior to the reservation, you may call or e-mail us: malayabenfleet@hotmail.com

Reservation Duration 

Tuesday to Saturday: For evening reservations the first seating starts from 18:00 and the tables are available for two hours (depend on the availability might be less )  after which they will be re-booked. Once seated, we will ask for your table to be available 2 hours after the reserved time. If you wish to stay at your table for longer  than the allotted 2 hours, please let us know when making your reservation. Second seating starts from 20:00 and your table will not be re-booked so there is no need to request the table for a longer period of time.

We kindly request that you call the restaurant 48hrs before your reservation to confirm. If we do not hear from you we will call you to confirm the reservation 24hrs before. If we still do not hear from you we have the right to cancel your booking and you will be notified of this.


Sunday : First seating starts from 13:00 and the tables are available for two hours, after which they will be re-booked. Once seated, we will ask for your table to be available 2 hours after the reserved time. Please let us know if you would like to stay at your table for longer than the reserved two hours.

We respectfully ask that you are ready to be seated at the time of your reservation to ensure the best possible level of service to all of our guests. In the event of you or members of your party running late on the day of booking we reserve the right to release your table to other parties if you haven’t notified us by phone in advance of the booking time. We will happily hold your table up to 15 minutes without notice of late arrival.Should you wish to have a drink prior to being seated, please arrive earlier or change your reservation to a later time.

Table Allocation


Due to the large number of requests, unfortunately we cannot guarantee window tables or specific areas when taking reservations, but we will do our best to accommodate your requests. Your understanding in this is appreciated. Depending on how large your group is, we may require you to sit in 2 or more groups because of our restaurant’s layout.


Deposit

The restaurant requires a deposit of £5 per person before the booking is confirmed for groups of 8 or more. Deposits will be deducted on the final bill automatically.

If guests cancel the event more than 48 hours prior to the booking, the deposit will be refunded. If the guest cancels the booking within 48 hours of the booking the deposit will be retained by the restaurant.

For large booking of 15 people or more, we will happily refund any deposits of guests that cancel as long as it is 5 days prior to the booking.

If you wish to hire our restaurant for a private party we will take a 20% non-refundable deposit of the agreed price.

Food Safety and Allergens

We respectfully ask that food that has not been prepared in our kitchens is not consumed on our premises.

This policy has been implemented to ensure the food, not on the menu, does not impact our quality of service to our customers who purchased food on other tables. In the event of an alleged food poisoning or serious allergic reaction of one of our guests, we would be unable to trace the source of this, in accordance with our Food Safety procedures.

We cater for most dietary requirements and have strict policies in place for customers with food allergies. We are happy to respond to any specific requests for further information regarding allergens in our kitchens prior to your visit. All of our staff are fully trained on our allergen policy and any questions can be answered prior to orders being taken.

Celebratory cakes :
You are allowed to bring in your own cake, however we will not accept any complaint from the group on the table for food poisoning, as we would be unable to trace the source in accordance with our Food Safety procedures.

Christmas & New Year’s Eve
Bookings are taken from September every year for Christmas & New Year’s Eve. The restaurant is closed every year on the following days 25th, 26th and 27th of December for Staff Holiday. Please note 12 people is the maximum number we can fit on one table due to the restaurant’s layout. A deposit of £10 per person will be taken before the booking is confirmed and will be deducted automatically from your final bill.
